Updates on Upcoming Events + More

The Art History Club has some tricks up its sleeves! We have two events in the works right now open to all art history majors at UCSB.

1. A "Behind-the-Scenes" tour of the University Art Museum at UCSB led by the registrar. This will be an informative and interesting tour of UCSB's very own UAM and how the people involved run it, manage the collections and exhibitions and much more. The tour should not go on any longer than 1 hour. If interested, please write to ucsbarthistoryclub@gmail.com and let us know what time during the weekend (we plan on a future Saturday) works best for you.

2. Grad Student Panel! We plan on hosting a graduate student panel open to all art history majors at UCSB as well as those interested that are art history minors. We hope to have the graduate student advisor, art history grad students at UCSB, some professors and others to come in and serve as a panel to discuss matters on grad school plans as well as answering any questions you may have. The date of this event is TBA but mass-emails and notifications will be sent out prior with the date and details.

3. T-Shirts for the club from this year are on sale! There will be a new design out in 2009 so we need to sell the last of the shirts we have. They are $10 each. If you want one e-mail ucsbarthistoryclub@gmail.com

4. The first club meeting went better than expected. New faces came into the meeting and we really enjoyed that. We hope to see those at the first meeting and many new faces at the next and others to come throughout the school year.
